A feature length documentary and a series of seven short portraits, celebrating community, culture and identity through the lives of seven inspiring Indigenous Australian artists. Featuring Rhoda Roberts, David Page, Gina Rings and Soo Yeun You, Kamahi Djordon King, The Medics, Buddy Knox and Dan Sultan. Filmed over six days and set amongst the vivid landscapes of The Dreaming Festival and stirring urban Sydney streets, Who We Are celebrates our diversity through dance, theatre, visual arts, music and performance, entwined with insightful interviews that recall the people and passions that define each artist’s life. Commissioned by Reconciliation Australia and FOXTEL to mark the second anniversary of the National Apology and Premiered at The 2011 Dreaming Festival and then premiered on The Bio Channel on FOXTEL as well as seven other channels including; The Discovery Channel, STVDIO, and SHOWTIME Channels. The short portraits were broadcast on 22 Australian subscription television channels. Who We Are also was screened out of competition at the 2011 FIFO Film Festival.
